Alanna McCargo Intended Nominee to Head Ginnie Mae

Today, the Biden Administration announced that senior HUD Official, Alanna McCargo, is the intended nominee to be president of Ginnie Mae.
Prior to her role at HUD, McCargo served as vice president for the Housing Finance Policy Center at the Urban institute where she led the development of research and designed strategy to reduce racial disparities in housing, remove barriers to homeownership, and provide solutions that help people of color build generational wealth.
McCargo has also held leadership roles in private, public and non-profit sectors including CoreLogic, JP Morgan Chase, and Fannie Mae. As head of CoreLogic, she worked with government agencies and regulators to support housing and consumer research by delivering customized data and technology solutions. With JP Morgan Chase and Fannie Mae, she developed and managed borrower solutions, servicing initiatives, and mortgage transformation efforts. She also led the team supporting the US treasury for housing recover programs during the Great Recession.
In addition to her extensive experience in finance, lending and housing, McCargo serves on various non-profit boards and committees that focus on financial well-being, community development and housing security.
McCargo has a BA in communications from the University of Houston and an MBA from the University of Maryland and holds a certificate in Non-Profit Policy Leadership from Georgetown.
