Jesse Van Tol

President and Chief Executive Officer, NCRC

Jesse Van Tol is NCRC’s President and CEO. He has been with NCRC since 2006 and has held a variety of leadership positions, most recently as Chief Operating Officer.  His work championing fair and responsible banking has resulted in $338 billion in new investments in low- and moderate-income communities through Community Benefits Agreements with 15 banking institutions.

Edward J. Gorman, III

Executive Director, NCRC Housing Rehab Fund, LLC Managing Director

Ed joined the staff of NCRC in March 2010, in the role of Chief Membership & Workforce Officer, following ten years of service on our Board of Directors. In his staff role, he directs the Workforce Development Program and the GROWTH (Generating Real Opportunities for Work Through Housing) Initiative. 

John K. Adams

Chief Operating Officer

John joined GROWTH in April of 2019, and is responsible for daily operations, including oversight of the acquisition, renovation and disposition of properties in the Fund. He brings with him over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, including working with Ryan Homes, Ryland Homes and, most recently, as the President/Owner of his own company, Vogue Custom Homes and Renovations. 

Tim Hawkins

Chief Financial Officer

Tim Hawkins is the Chief Financial Officer of the GROWTH Initiative. As CFO, Tim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from working with real estate and other commercial businesses, government contractors, and clients in the nonprofit and association space, where he serves as an outsourced CFO and provides strategic counsel in accounting and financial strategy. Tim is a graduate of George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Joe Lucado

National Vice President of Construction

Joe started with GROWTH in April of 2019, with over 30 years of experience working in Residential New Construction, Remodeling, and Land Development in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Joe’s experience includes working with NV Homes, Winchester Homes, Rule 4, Greentree Homes, and most recently as V.P. of Construction for MI Homes.

Jennifer Powers

National Vice President of Acquisitions

Mrs. Powers has over 20 years’ experience in Institutional Real Estate Acquisitions and has worked for large, national investors including KBS Realty Advisors, New Boston Fund, Lowe Enterprises Inc., and Bentall Kennedy. In these positions she was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, negotiating, due diligence, authoring Investment Committee submissions, and maintaining strong industry relationships.  Over the course of her career, she personally underwrote over $4 Billion of completed transactions in office, multi-family, and development projects.   She has a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University in Real Estate and Infrastructure, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Tulane University.

Daria Brunet

Director of Human Resources and Investor Relations

Daria has been with GROWTH since 2013 and has served the organization in a variety of roles. In her current capacity as Director of Asset Management and Investor Relations, she oversees dispositions, leasing, investor relations, human resources and technology.

Lynda Belcher 

Director of Marketing 

Lynda Belcher has a background in journalism, event planning and marketing. She was a senior editor at the daily newspaper in Tallahassee, FL before moving on to marketing and real estate writing for a monthly lifestyle magazine. She also worked in tourism marketing before relocating to Tampa. Since then, Lynda has been a consultant specializing in digital marketing, content writing, social media management and more. A married mom of five, she spends her free time reading, gardening, and volunteering as an advocate for LGBTQ+ teens and young adults.

Craig Vermeulen

Assistant Vice President of Construction

Prior to joining GROWTH, Craig worked for both large national home builders and small private home builders.  Craig has been responsible for property identification, construction cost management, scopes of work, construction inspections, purchasing, safety and operations management from sale through warranty services.  At GROWTH he has served as the Regional Construction Manager for Chicago overseeing construction and acquisitions prior to his role as the Assistant Vice President of Construction.

Natasha White

Director of Sales and Closings

Natasha White joined GROWTH in October 2019. She brings over 18 years of real estate experience including Residential, Commercial, and New Construction sales. She’s helped numerous real estate agents grow their business through transaction and coordination management. She holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Central Washington University in Seattle, WA and is currently pursuing her Master’s through Strayer University.

Joel Bassi

Construction Manager, Southeast FL

Joel serves as Construction Manager for Southeast Florida. He joined the team in March 2020 and has years of experience in Public Housing and Construction Management. Previous to joining GROWTH, he focused on the construction industry, leading projects in different markets. Joel is passionate about helping others and giving back to the community.

Patrick Bradford

Regional Acquisitions Manager, Atlanta

Patrick comes to GROWTH with primarily an investment analyst background. He received a degree in Building Construction from the Georgia Institute of Technology. As a Senior Analyst for Invitation Homes he contributed to the purchase of assets that laid groundwork for its expanded market penetration and SFR securitizations.

April Dunlap

Bookkeeper

April comes to GROWTH with 10 years of accounting experience in both the legal and construction industry. Prior to coming to GROWTH, she was with Paramount Mechanical Corporation. April was born in Washington, D.C. and currently lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband, two children, and her dachshund. She is happy to be a part of Growth Builders LLC!

Nuha Elsenussi

Assistant Construction Manager, Atlanta

Nuha joined GROWTH in November 2020. She has a background in architecture and business administration and is passionate about art and design. She has been working as an independent interior designer and finishing management contractor mostly in the Southwest Atlanta area.

Inger Faherty

Special Assistant to Ed Gorman

Inger is the Executive Assistant to Ed Gorman and Office Manager for GROWTH by NCRC. Having joined the team in July 2021, she brings over 25 years of experience in executive administrative support.  Previously, she worked for a regional healthcare provider in a variety of roles, most recently supporting the Senior VP of Operations.  Her roles and responsibilities touched many areas of the organization, with a heavy emphasis on IT/tech as well as policy, compliance, and oversight of special projects, such as triennial accreditation.

Brenda Friend

Contracts Manager

Brenda held the position of Special Assistant to the Chief, Community Development, since June 2018.  She now serves at the Contracts Manager for the Construction Team.  Prior to coming to the GROWTH team, she served as the Executive Director for The Greater Cumberland Committee (TGCC) for seven years.

Marvin Greenlea

Construction Manager II, Atlanta

Marvin Greenlea has been in new residential home building since 2017. He received his diploma at Withrow High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He joined the United States Navy in 1998 where he served as a Seabee builder. He currently lives in Loganville, GA and loves to spend time with his family.

Sarah Hansen

Assistant Construction Manager, Florida

Sarah brings over ten years of dedicated experience in residential and commercial construction with a proven record of accomplishment in the areas of customer relations, scheduling, staff supervision, and general operations.

Dennis Harold

Land Development Manager

Dennis joined Growth in March 2019 and served as a Regional Construction Manager for the Atlanta/Birmingham area until 2022, when he became Land Development Manager. He has over 30 years’ experience in land development, residential and light commercial construction, most recently working with private investors doing remodeling and rehabilitation work in the metropolitan Atlanta area.

Michael Klisus

Michael has been in the construction industry all his life, and, specifically, in construction management for the last 15 years.  He truly loves this field and couldn’t think of a better career path for himself.  When he’s not working, he gives back to the community by working with Habitat for Humanity.

Dan Leach

Construction Manager, Chicago

Dan joined GROWTH as Construction Manager, Chicago in March 2020.  Dan brings a deep skill set in operations, systems-management, budgeting and quality control.  Prior to GROWTH, Dan was the President of Chicagoland Circulation Services, where he owned and operated a successful delivery and circulation service that worked with many publishing companies in the Chicago area.  He was also the VP of Quality Control and Accounting for Leach General Contracting, where he focused on quality control and budgeting for residential construction projects.

Kathy Linville

Accounts Payable Manager

Kathy Linville serves as a staff accountant for the GROWTH Initiative. Kathy brings more than 30 years of accounting experience with her. Her background includes not only construction but also association, legal, and marketing.

Chuck Mize

Regional Construction Manager, New Jersey, Delaware, Philadelphia

Chuck joined GROWTH in August 2019 as the Assistant Regional Construction Manager for the New Jersey market and was promoted to Construction Manager in January 2020.  Chuck comes from a varied, albeit highly successful, background most recently as a Software Test Engineer for Northrop Grumman Corporation.

Greg Pacholski

Regional Construction Manager, Ohio

Greg has 25 years of construction industry experience, including new residential construction, remodeling, commercial construction and land development. He has worked for top national home builders and ran divisions for the homebuilding and land development operations.

Sandeep Patel

Senior Accountant

Sandeep joins GROWTH with over 10 years of accounting experience.  He has experience in the real estate and commercial development industries.  Prior to joining GROWTH, he worked with Columbia Ventures, LLC as a Controller and Ryan, LLC as a Tax Consultant. Sandeep received his B.A. in Economics at the University of Georgia and a Master of Professional Accountancy at Georgia State University. He grew up in Atlanta, GA and currently resides in Bluffton, SC with his wife and two boys. In his free time, he enjoys running, golfing, watching his kids play soccer and spending time with friends and family.

Anne Slifka

Director, Business Systems

Anne Slifka serves as GROWTH’s Director of Business Systems. Anne brings over 15 years of experience in the construction industry including new residential construction, remodeling, commercial subcontracting and commercial construction.

Antonio Tyson

Construction Manager, Atlanta

Antonio Tyson is a 12-year Military Veteran (Air Force) with over 10 years of experience in the Construction Industry, including HVAC, hands-on maintenance, rehab and renovations. Most recently, holding the position of Superintendent, managing and overseeing residential projects to include setting contractors’ deadlines and budgets for new construction, rehabs, and renovations.

Ryan Walderman

Controller

Ryan is the Controller for the GROWTH Initiative. As Controller, Ryan Walderman manages the day-to-day accounting functions for the initiative and its related entities.  Ryan comes to GROWTH with wide-ranging accounting experience in industries such as Real Estate, Legal, Construction, Non Profit, Finance, and Government Contracting, to name a few.

Logan Whichard

Construction Manager, Atlanta

With over 12 years of Construction Management and Real Estate Industry experience, Logan received his introduction to the construction industry as a carpenter and moved into managing small and large scale renovations, eventually investing in real estate in the 2010’s.  Since then, he’s estimated and completed over 500 projects as an investor or with individual investors and private equity funds.  He’s been a licensed Real Estate Agent since 2018.  Most recently, he held a position as a superintendent of Construction estimating and managing a range of projects from turnkey to full scale renovations.

Dawn Williams

Project Accountant

Dawn Williams joined the team as Staff Accountant in December 2020. She brings over 20 years of accounting experience to GROWTH.  Her background includes nonprofit work, as well as real estate and construction.

Kim Williams

Construction Manager, Birmingham

Kim joined GROWTH November 2021. She began her career in architectural design and project management.  For the past 14 years, Kimberly has been bringing her knowledge and experience in both residential and commercial construction to various project management-related positions including budgeting, quality control, project scheduling, construction management, business planning, managing subcontractors and business development.

She earned a Bachelor of Science and Technology degree in Architectural Engineering and a minor in Construction Management from The University of Southern Mississippi. Kimberly is a member of the SE Region National Association of Women in Construction.

Stacy Young

Construction Manager II, Birmingham

Stacy began her career in commercial construction 22 years ago focusing on historic rehab in the city of Detroit to include the Detroit Institute of Arts expansion project that added 58,000 square feet to the total 658,000 square foot building. She was then relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to manage multiple projects on the Las Vegas Strip to include the MGM Grand Hotel that included remodeling 4,212 rooms in 12 months at a cost of 160 million.

Her main responsibility was to manage the QA/QC for owner turnover and cost management. Stacy then was sent to Montgomery Alabama in 2017 as an Owners Representative on the National Memorial for Peace and Justice.  While managing this project, she realized that she needed to contribute more to building communities, obtained her realtor’s license and decided to remain in Alabama.
